Thisbe Wu is an artist from New York City working in painting, printmaking, music, and theater. Her work explores power and intimacy—between friends, family, lovers, painter and sitter, viewer and subject. She revels in meticulous processes and art that reveals the hand. Among many other things, she takes inspiration from German Expressionism, dreamlike cinematic worlds, and printmaking as protest.
