I work primarily through painting to address social relations and personal narratives surrounding migration, immigration, and national heritage. I am interested in contending with identity construction while negotiating abstraction as a site to model this research. In recent years, my material exploration has orbited around natural dyes to excavate social/political histories and ecological dynamics.
