Flores

Flores (b. San Salvador, El Salvador; currently lives and works in New Haven, CT) is a painter who works primarily with Landscape and Abstraction; honed on the experimental aspects of process and technique, transfiguring material terrains. His most recent work engages with the social and material conditions to understand how the living continually inform localities of color, as opposed to the idea that color itself is something inherently meaningful in predetermined, static, and ubiquitous ways. He received a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2021 and he is currently an MFA Painting/Printmaking candidate at Yale School of Art.
