Katharen Wiese is a multidisciplinary artist and former community organizer from Lincoln, NE currently residing in New Haven, CT. Wiese’s work is invested in zero waste material practices and the language of quilting to describe the topography of black American multiracial and multicultural identity in relationship to rural landscapes. She is a Yale painting and printmaking MFA candidate graduating in 2024.
