Andrew Ordonez constructs abstract relief sculptures that unearth the tension found within geological erasure and conservation. His process focuses on experimental casting methods, embedding various combinations of cement, dirt, rubber, cleaning agents, glycerin, and capital debris within deconstructed travel containers. He is interested in researching material relationships through artifact transformations, amorphous conglomerates, queer-centric time capsules, media, and mediumship.
