.5 IN ~ 1.75 IN x the entire perimeter of the room x .25 ~ 2 IN. dimensions vary in accordance with the pre-existing reveal (the indented gap where wall and floor would meet) in the first room of the Yale School of Art Green Hall Gallery.
i installed a painted sky-like piece on the underside of the reveal, invisible except for when reflected by a piece of polished stainless steel fixed to the floor at a twenty-five-degree angle. what is seen in the reflection shifts depending on the orientation of the viewer (when i stand in the very center of the room, at the eye line of my near six feet height, I see sky all the way around the bottom edge of the room). depending on the height, angle and distance of the viewer, what they see will change ~ polished surface, reflected sky, both, themself (if they peer very near).
