As demonstrated in my portfolio, I weave string into my paintings. While I apply oil to canvas, I remove and patch the gaps with twill and plain weaves, partly replacing the image with a structure that matches, visually pixelates, and abstracts an otherwise representational oil painting. Recently, I have been weaving three dimensional installations that hand wooden sculptures that I bend. To support my installations, I laminate and bend wood around mannequins and string them up as remnants of forms, weaving through them, hanging them up, and justifying their shape in the air, as humans try to rationalize their own psyches.
