Amy Wang

Amy Wang disassembles and reassembles physical bodies- human, animal, floral -to present the human body as both decorative and detachable. Through the use of materials that demand specialized processes- glass, resin, and wood -with mass-produced items, they question the appraisal of marginalization and the valuation of time and labor: the product of the body. At the center of their work is the dissection of the fetishized body and the abjection of human and nonhuman systems.
