Brenda Barrios is a multidisciplinary artist and received a Bachelor’s in Art, with a minor in Art Education. from UCLA School of Arts and Architecture in 2023. Originally from Los Angeles, California, and currently an MFA candidate at the Yale School of Art. Brenda is a first-generation Mexican American and her artistic pursuit began as a Fashion major and painter at Pasadena City College. Brenda’s work incorporates various techniques such as screen printing, sound, and kinetic. Brenda enjoys researching new methods and techniques. And often incorporates various natural materials such as natural dyes and fibers such as turmeric, and copper. Brenda's current works incorporate installations, performances, music production, kinetic, casting, robotics, large sculptures, and paintings and her work investigates themes about disability, education disparities, and queerness.
