Leor Miller is a photographer, musician, and writer from Evanston, IL currently based in New Haven, CT. She received a BA in Photography from Bard College in 2019 and is a current MFA candidate at the Yale School of Art.
Leor’s photographs approach the world as a space of mystery. Working primarily with pinhole and panoramic cameras, she questions the historical role photography has played in depicting the earth and its human subjects as stable, knowable entities. She is particularly interested in instances where photography fails to produce concrete knowledge as a result of the ever-shifting boundaries between the self and the world.
She is a transgender woman.
