Rafael Villares (b. 1989, Havana, Cuba) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of art and science in shaping and transforming our understanding of Nature. He often collaborates with scientists and researchers to develop projects that challenge established ways of seeing. Villares has exhibited his work widely, including at the 59th Venice Biennale, the XII Havana Biennial in Cuba, the Vancouver Biennale in Canada, the Minneapolis Institute of Art in the USA, and the Sixty-eight Art Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark. He lives and works between New Haven, USA, and Havana, Cuba.
